Louise Humphreys - Sole Principal

Solicitor, BA (Hons), Dip LG

Louise qualified as a Solicitor in 2000, having undertaken her training contract with Hart District Council. Shortly after qualification she joined The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead as an Assistant Solicitor within the Environmental Law and Litigation Team. In November 2002 she took up the position of Planning Solicitor at Surrey Heath Borough Council. In August 2005 Louise left local government to join a firm of Chartered Town Planners as an in-house planning solicitor.

Louise specialises in all aspects of planning law, covering the full range of development control issues including residential, commercial, retail, listed buildings and conservation areas. She has a particular interest in issues relating to certificates of lawfulness and enforcement, including injunctions.

Her experience also encompasses a wide range of other public law work including licensing, highways and public rights of way, standards and ethics, judicial review, trading standards, environmental health and statutory nuisance.

Louise has substantial experience of appearing before the Magistrates' Court in a variety of differing matters; she has also appeared for local planning authorities at public inquiries.

In 2001, she obtained the Law Society's Diploma in Local Government Law and Practice. Louise is a member of the UK Environmental Law Association and is an Environmental Law Foundation advisor.

Adam Humphreys - Practice Manager

Adam is an IT professional by training, being recognised as a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer based on SQL Server and Visual Basic. He has substantial experience in developing programming applications for use by financial organisations.

As Peyto Law's Practice Manager he is responsible for all matters involving the day to day administration of the practice, including financial and IT matters.
